Why did you choose this product over others?: My daughter loves to cosplay and I thought this might be good for a 50s / Grease kind of look. She loves how the dress twirls however she is not sure when she'd ever actually wear it. Also it was noticeable that the bottom skirt is a little see through and would suggest having some sort of slip or other way of bulking up the lower half and making it less see through. Fit is to size and material is ok quality.

Ok but a little see through and not instantly recognisable as a rock and roll costume.
This costume is comfy to wear, it won’t overheat you, it’s doesn’t blow up and limit your movement, and you won’t trip over it! You can wear it comfortably for hours and it’s easy to accessorise. I’m surprised there’s not petticoats included in this rock and roll fancy dress. It’s a missed opportunity and would have solved the fact that the swing styled skirt material is thin and is a bit see through. The buttons fasten, and the waistband has some elasticity. The wig is not included and other than the wide, quite cheap feeling belt there’s nothing else included. I’d say it’s overpriced, the quality is so so, the fit is comfy and true to size, but until I added red lippy, lacquered my hair, and added cat eye glasses and a see through neck scarf it wasn’t instantly obvious what era it was from. I hope you find my experiences helpful.

Falda que vuela, cintura marcada y mucho rock: así se viaja a los 50
Lo primero que pensé al abrir el paquete fue: “¡esto sí que grita años 50!”. El vestido blanco tiene un vuelo precioso que solo con dar un paso ya se mueve y cobra vida, así que es imposible no sentirse como en un baile de instituto con Elvis sonando de fondo. El cinturón ancho que trae ayuda a remarcar la cintura y darle esa forma tan típica de la época, la de las chicas que bailaban rock and roll con faldas que parecían tener vida propia. Lo mejor es que es muy fácil de llevar. El tejido no pesa nada, tiene un punto de elasticidad y no se arruga con mirarlo, así que aunque te pases la noche girando o bailando, seguirás estando impecable. Ni te acuerdas de que vas disfrazada porque es cómodo como un vestido cualquiera, solo que con muchísimo más rollo. Eso sí, no trae peluca ni accesorios tipo pañuelo o gafas vintage, así que si quieres un look Grease al cien por cien, toca buscarlos aparte. Lo curioso es que, aun sin esos extras, fue llegar a la fiesta y empezar a recibir comentarios. Al final un disfraz de este estilo funciona porque todo el mundo reconoce enseguida la década, y tú solo tienes que sonreír y dejar que la falda haga el resto. Por cierto, si estás entre dos tallas o eres alta, mejor subir una para que no quede demasiado corto; así puedes moverte con toda la tranquilidad del mundo. ¿En resumen? Es un disfraz sencillo pero resultón, que te transporta a los años 50 sin esfuerzo, perfecto para carnaval, fiestas temáticas o simplemente para divertirte imaginando que te llamas Sandy y el baile final está a punto de empezar.

La falda es un poco transparente así que hay que debajo debemos ponernos algo para que no se nos vea la ropa interior, la cinturilla algo elástica hace que ponernos el disfraz sea más cómodo. El cinturón es de una calidad un poco baja, pero para disfrazarnos un día concreto sobra, no durará muchas puestas. Si añades algunos accesorios como tacones, un labial bien rojo, unas gafas de gato y te recoges el pelo se logra bastante el look. Diría que es algo caro, pero para una fiesta temática que no queramos calentarnos mucho la cabeza está bien.
